WHAT WE BELEIVE

What We Believe:

Our beliefs at New Journey are simple.  Love your neighbor as you love yourself!  How can you love God who you haven't seen and not love your neighbor who you have seen!  Embracing the sick and shut-in, the homeless, the marginalized, and most importantly those just needing a little love.

We believe that the scripture is the "inspired" word of God, we believe that Jesus is the son of God.  We believe in the sacraments of communion and baptism.  And...

New Journey Ministries defines “biblically inclusive” as the inclusion of every person in our communities and the communities of faith.  Inclusivity challenges major fundamental, deep-seated ‘Christian beliefs’, doctrines and theologies at the center of society which characterizes people on the edge as enemies of God and routinely mistreats, oppresses and excludes them from the community of faith.  It is our goal, purpose and aim to provide a safe place of refuge for persons who have been wounded by oppressive and tortured theologies and to provide a place of spiritual, mental and physical nurturing, training and healing for those who are marginalized.

(John 4:7-14, Acts 2:21, Acts 15:11, Romans 5:9, Galatians 3:28)
